Hello!

Ever get so preoccupied with life that when you stop and look you realize just how much time has passed?  That is definitely the case for me lately, and I would guess for many of you as well.

COVID had caused many changes this year.  Many good, several annoying, and of course the actual infection is terrible.  I have learned to be more patient, to be more understanding, to breath more, to appreciate my health more, to rely on others more for help, to say no more, and to love better.  I have learned that some people need to remember their manners, that there are some people you will never please so don't let it eat away at you, that grace comes in all sizes, the in people's weakest moments they can behave in unusual ways and still need you to help them, and that love always wins.

April is a month that I wouldn't probably choose to do again physically but I do miss it.  I felt a bond with my team that was not there before and is gone once again as we all got back to our own routines.

I miss physical contact, aka hugs.  I am a HUGGER.  I've read that humans need 20 hugs a day to thrive.  Not survive, but to thrive.  We are all hug deprived now.  I know it.  I am.

We have experienced many staffing changes during COVID.  As we all know, this situation caused all sorts of different reactions in people and some just needed to not be here.  We have gained some awesome people that make our days great!  We have welcomed Jodi, Maggie, Emily, Megan, Marilyn, Kate, Alex, and Tikvah.  Please make sure to say hi on your next visit.

Keep strong.  Breath deeper.  Stay grateful.  Love better.

With love,

Dr. Rachel Sparke
