Thank GOD! This COVID19 occurred during a technologically advanced age. My children have been able to continue their education, I've been able to continue my service, and I can connect with loved ones no matter where they live. I've enjoyed on-line gatherings to exercise "together". My children have taken advantage of interacting with classmates through video conferencing. Even my parents have processed their financial advisement sessions via online video conferencing.
We are in an unprecedented time in history where an illness has taken a global hold on us all. It has reminded us how fragile our web is. It also has reminded us how creative and persistent the human spirit is. I've watched amazing videos of humans being kind to strangers, of prayers being offered for our health care providers, and much more. I have seen such incredible joyful kindness in these past few weeks while we have been "isolated".
In Michiana I certainly wish we could have been in warmer weather. Although it makes me wonder if we'd have been as delayed to "fall in line" as Florida and some other warm weather states have been.
I wake each day to the same uncertainty that everyone else is feeling. I am so proud of us as a species, however. We were made to be able to handle this. We are more than capable. Stay strong - we are doing this together.
